Fazit

Die Evidenzlage spricht dafür, Kindern mit Mittelohrentzündung nur in seltenen Ausnahmefällen Antibiotika zu verordnen. Die einschlägige ärztliche Leitlinie empfiehlt, die akute Otitis media 24 – 48 Stunden rein symptomatisch zu therapieren. [20] Gerade innerhalb dieses Zeitraums sollte aufgrund der positiven Studienlage ein Behandlungsversuch mit Homöopathie unternommen werden.
